"Hollywood with a touch of twang"

If you’re anything like us, it just hit you that the next work holiday is not until Memorial Day. And that stir crazy is starting to set in…

Our solution? Easy weekend getaways. Our top recco – headin’ down south to Nashville! Maybe just not for a first date… We’re looking at you “Master of None”!

Between the music and the Tennessee Whiskey, there is plenty of fun to be had and plenty of steam to be blown in Music City.

When we visit a city, we like to experience as much of the local culture and history as possible, so that’s why we love the Union Station Hotel in Nashville. Built in a former railway station, this heritage hotel is unique and vibrant, and just happens to be near all of the major sights.

If you’re looking for an even more unique experience, check out Music City Tiny House. Or maybe just take a tour if you get claustrophobic.

Want something more off the beaten path? Check out Moonshine Hill for some seriously amazing rustic charm.

No trip to Nashville is complete without a visit to the Grand Ole Opry. Catch a performance by anyone from Old Crow Medicine Show, to Rascal Flatts.

From Johnny Cash’s guitar to Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off” outfit, soak up some country music history and culture at the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Did you say 16 acres of farmers’ market? We have GOT to see that! Nashville Farmers’ Market hosts a daily farmers market with with local farmers, artisans and merchants, an interior market house with restaurants, an international market, farm store, and a weekend flea market.

Put on those dancin’ shoes (or cowboy boots!) and get prepared for a great time at Wildhorse Saloon. With live music and hourly dance lessons, you’ll two step, scoot and boogie all night long.

Check out music’s next big names at Bluebird Café, where legends from Garth Brooks to Deacan Claybourne got their start at open mic night. Sign yourself up and maybe you too will be discovered…

Country not your thing? Nashville is also home to iconic bluegrass music. For over 40 years Station Inn has been at the heart of the bluegrass scene. Catch a show any night of the week, but be sure to line up early to get a spot.

The buzzing farm to table City House downtown has a few delicious items including a seasonal kale salad and pizza that can be made delectably vegan.

Nashville’s most popular (with good reason) vegetarian and vegan restaurant, The Wild Cow, offers a creative and constantly changing menu of healthy and delicious foods. We love the vegan desserts and that 10% of proceeds go to charity!

All that Nashville BBQ got you craving some Tempeh BBQ? Sunflower Café offers some delicious vegan faire including their vegan BBQ sandwich or wrap.

Hang out with friends and get some delicious food at Pinewood Social. Bocce, Bowling, and a Pool in the summer compliment the coffee bar, dining area, and outdoor airstream which all serve up an excellent array of food and drinks, some of which can be made vegan.

Any weekend getaway is not complete without a cocktail and a view. Grab a fancy cocktail and check out the super unique Acme Seed & Feed and their amazing rooftop view.
