Walnut Pesto

Pesto is the perfect healthy sauce to jazz up the flavor of any dish. From a yummy dip for veggies or bread to a pasta sauce or a delicious pizza topping, pesto can carry you through a week of tasty creations.

The addition of Walnuts in this pesto recipe gives it a creamy, nuttiness that we highly recommend.

2 cups basil leaves, stemmed

1/2 cup walnuts, raw

1 clove garlic

1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

sea salt, to taste


Combine basil, raw walnuts, and garlic in a food processor.

Pulse until coarsely ground.

Slowly add extra virgin olive oil in a steady stream until your desired consistency is reached. (You may need less than 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil).

Season with sea salt to taste.

Use immediately or refrigerate for future use.
